A square built around a city gate

The Waag, the turreted building in the middle of Nieuwmarkt, began life as a city gate in 1488 and later became a weigh house and guild hall. The square around it was a market for centuries, and it still hosts a market on weekends. Zeedijk, the city's small Chinatown, runs north towards the station, and Kloveniersburgwal and Geldersekade lead off along canals lined with old houses. Hotels here are mostly small: canal houses, a few converted warehouses and some mid-sized modern properties on the edges of the square. The area is central but slightly calmer than the streets immediately around the Dam, particularly after the terraces close.

How a massage Nieuwmarkt hotel Amsterdam booking is arranged

Give the hotel name, the canal or street, the time and the length. The desk replies in about ten minutes with a name and the window of forty to sixty minutes. Some streets around the square are narrow and pedestrianised, so the therapist may walk the final minute from the nearest road. Say which entrance your hotel uses in the evening. Several buildings on the canals have a front door on the water and a service door on a lane behind. When she messages that she is outside, tell her whether you are coming down or which floor to go to.

Canal houses and warehouse rooms

Many hotels around Nieuwmarkt occupy houses and warehouses from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. Stairs are steep, lifts are small or absent, and rooms vary widely in shape. Warehouse conversions often have large rooms with exposed beams; canal-house rooms are taller at the front and smaller at the back. A sensual hour or a tantra booking fits nearly any of them. Couples and four-hand bookings need a larger room, so describe yours. Nuru needs a warm room and a shower close to the bed. The canal house hotel page goes into these buildings in more depth.

Night desks and locked doors

Small hotels around the square often close reception around midnight and lock the street door. Guests carry a key or a code. When the therapist arrives after that time, go down and open the door yourself; do not share the code or leave the door propped open. Larger hotels on the edge of the square keep night staff and keycard lifts. There the usual approach applies: meet her at the lifts and go up together. Our front desk etiquette guide covers both kinds of arrival.

Therapists a few streets away

The women based in Centrum live close to Nieuwmarkt: Violetta, who works sensual, tantra, nuru and erotic oil; Tiffany and Bianka, who add couples, four-hand and the overnight. Tina near the Dam and Roxi at Rembrandtplein are only a few minutes further. Name one of them in your message or let the desk choose. Violetta speaks Ukrainian, Tiffany German, Bianka Hungarian, Tina Croatian and German and Roxi Romanian, each as well as English.

Rates and payment

The rates are the same as anywhere in the city. For one guest with one therapist, the hour is €180, ninety minutes €270 and two hours €360. For a couple with one therapist, ninety minutes is €540. Every therapist profile shows the full table, overnights included. Half the fee is sent in advance for a first booking, any booking more than a day ahead, every overnight, every two-therapist booking and every peak date, by card, Revolut, Wise or crypto. That half is not refunded on cancellation. The balance is paid in person when she arrives, by cash, card or crypto.

Evenings on the square

The terraces around the Waag fill on warm evenings, and the restaurants of Zeedijk stay busy until late. By midnight the square quietens, although the streets towards the Red Light District to the west remain lively. Hotels facing the square can hear the terraces until closing; rooms on the canals behind are quieter. A booking around ten or eleven, after dinner, is the most common here. After one in the morning the area is calm, and arrivals are quick and discreet.

Markets and weekend mornings

On Saturdays the square fills with a farmers' market, and on some Sundays with an antiques market. Guests who booked an overnight on Friday may find the square busy with stall holders from early morning. That does not affect the booking, but it is worth knowing if you plan to walk the therapist to the door at eight. The house books guests from twenty-one years of age. For guests planning a weekend around the old town, bookings made more than a day ahead carry half the fee in advance, with one change of date allowed under the rescheduling rule.

Between Waterlooplein and the station

Nieuwmarkt sits halfway between two useful points for a visitor: Centraal Station to the north and Waterlooplein, with its flea market and the opera house, to the south. Hotels along Kloveniersburgwal and Geldersekade are within a ten-minute walk of both. The metro stop under the square connects to the station and to the south of the city in a few minutes. For guests arriving late by train, a hotel here is a short walk from the platforms, which makes a same-evening booking easy to time. Send the message as you leave the station, and she arrives soon after you have settled into the room. Guests who move on to another part of the city later in the trip can book the next evening from the new hotel in the same thread; the desk simply notes the new address.

The Tariff

One figure, whichever lobby.

The floor, the hour and the star rating change nothing on the bill. A second therapist doubles the hour; the eight-hour overnight is quoted flat.

1 hour€180
2 hours€360
3 hours€540
Overnight (8h)€1,250
Two therapists, one guest€360 / hr

Half confirms most bookings through the WhatsApp thread once the desk accepts; the balance is paid in the room as the session begins, in cash of any major currency, by card or in crypto. Each therapist profile lists every duration and the couple rates; the booking page shows what a first message should carry.
