A Guide From the Night Desk · Amsterdam

Book a massage for a hotel stay in Amsterdam, step by step

From the week before you travel to the moment the door closes behind her, the whole process takes a handful of messages. Here it is in order, with the details guests most often wish they had known sooner.

To book a massage for a hotel stay in Amsterdam you need only a phone and a few minutes, but the guests whose evenings go best tend to think about it a little before the night itself. Nothing needs to be paid or promised in advance, and a booking made from the hotel bed at midnight works perfectly well. Still, knowing the steps means the right therapist, the right form and the right room come together without any correction along the way. This guide walks through the whole process in order, from planning before you travel to the moment the session ends.

Step one: decide which night, before you travel

Look at the shape of the trip. A three-night city break has an arrival night, a middle night and a last night, and they suit different bookings: something simple on arrival, the long session in the middle, and an earlier hour on the last night when packing and a morning flight press on it. A business trip has its own constraints, such as dinners, calls and the flight home. There is no need to book ahead, since the desk answers at any hour and most bookings are placed on the evening itself, but picking the night in advance lets you keep it clear. If the trip includes a particular occasion, an anniversary perhaps or the end of a long project, that is the night to protect.

Step two: know your hotel and your room

The building shapes the booking more than guests expect. Note the hotel's name, or at least its street and quarter; whether the lifts need a keycard; whether reception is staffed through the night or the front door locks after a certain hour; and what kind of room you have. A standard double suits most forms, a twin or a suite suits a couples booking, and an attic under a canal-house roof suits the quieter forms. Our guide to which hotel room types suit which massage goes through each category in turn. If you have a choice when reserving, a room with a walk-in shower and a bed that stands free of the walls keeps every option open.

Step three: check the house rules on visitors

Most Amsterdam hotels allow guests to receive visitors in their rooms in the evening without any formality. Some ask that visitors be met at the lifts, a few ask for them to be announced at reception, and a small number of budget properties do not allow non-guests in rooms at all. The rule will be in your booking confirmation or the hotel's house rules, and it takes a minute to check, which saves disappointment later. If you plan the eight-hour overnight, also check whether your reservation covers two guests, since a second person staying until morning may need to be added. The desk always advises following the hotel's rule rather than working around it.

Step four: choose the form and the length

Five forms make up the card. Sensual massage is the dependable first booking and suits any room. Tantra is slow and breath-led and asks for an evening with nothing after it. Nuru uses warm gel and full-body contact and needs a warm room, a good shower and ideally two hours. The couples session sends two therapists for two guests side by side, and four-hand massage sends a practised pair to one guest. Each has its own page under the five forms on the menu. For length, one hour is complete in itself, two hours is what most guests choose once they have tried one, and the overnight covers eight hours as a single block. If the choice will not settle, the sensual hour is the right default.

Step five: choose a therapist, or let the desk choose

Each of the fifteen women on the rota has a profile with photographs, age, languages, home district and the forms she offers. Choosing by name is straightforward: mention her in your message and the reply gives a plain yes or no for tonight, with a time if the answer is yes. The alternative, which many guests prefer, is to describe the evening and let the desk decide. It knows who is nearest your hotel tonight, who is strongest in the form you want, and which pairs work together. Guests staying in the Zuidas will usually be offered someone based in the south, and guests inside the canal ring someone from Centrum. There is no penalty for asking for a particular woman and no obligation to accept a suggestion.

Step six: send the first message

The booking itself is one message on WhatsApp or Telegram, and it needs four facts:

  • The building, by name, or failing that the street and quarter.
  • The hour you want the session to start, or simply now.
  • The length, whether one hour, two, or the overnight.
  • One guest or two, and the form if you already know it.

Add anything unusual about the building, such as keycard lifts or a locked door after midnight, and a therapist's name if you have chosen one. The room number is not needed yet. The booking page builds this message for you from a short form, so all four facts arrive together in one go.

Step seven: read the confirmation

The desk replies in about ten minutes. The confirmation contains the therapist's name, which you can check against her profile, and an arrival window. In the canal ring and the museum quarter the window is usually about twenty minutes from confirmation, and in the Zuidas about twenty-five; for hotels near Schiphol the journey is quoted individually before anything is fixed. The reply also restates the length and the figure, so there is nothing to calculate later. If something in it does not suit, whether the time, the therapist or the form, say so on the same thread and it will be adjusted. Nothing is binding until she is at your door, and nothing is paid before then either.

Step eight: prepare the room

While she is on her way, the room takes five minutes. Raise the heating a little, more for nuru. Clear the bed and the chair beside it. Dim the main lights and keep one lamp on. Hang the do-not-disturb card, and if the hotel does evening turndown, let it happen first or decline it. Put your phone on silent. Have your payment ready, whether cash, card or crypto, so that settling takes a moment rather than a search through a suitcase. There is no need for extra towels or linens, since she brings her own, and nothing belonging to the hotel is used.

Step nine: the arrival

As she approaches the hotel she sends a short message. This is the moment to share the room number, or to say you will meet her. In a keycard building, go down and meet her at the lifts; where the front door is locked, go down and open it. Do not lend a keycard or share a door code. In an open lobby she will come straight up. When she knocks, the session begins with a few minutes of setting up: sheeting over the bed, oil or gel warming, the light arranged. Payment is made at this point, before the session starts, and is then not mentioned again for the rest of the evening.

Step ten: changes, extensions and the end

Plans move, and the desk expects them to. If dinner runs long or a call lands late, write on the same thread and the arrival moves with it. If you want to extend once she is with you, ask her; if her rota allows another hour, it is agreed and paid at the same rate before it starts. At the end she packs her own things in a few minutes and leaves the room as she found it. If you enjoyed the evening, you can ask for her again the following night or on your next trip, and the arrangement stays on the thread for next time. The thread stays open afterwards for questions, never for follow-up offers.

What the desk will never ask you

Guests booking for the first time sometimes brace for questions that never come. The desk does not ask for a surname, an employer or a reason for travelling. It does not want a card number, a deposit or a review afterwards. It asks for the building, the hour, the length, the number of guests and the form, and later the room number, because those are the facts that bring the right person to the right door at the right minute. Anything you choose to add, a preference for silence, a stiff shoulder, a birthday, is welcome and put to use for the evening. Anything you leave out was never needed in the first place.

Late arrivals, airport hotels and long stays

A few situations bend the steps slightly. Guests landing late at night can write from the taxi, naming the hotel and saying that the booking should begin once they have checked in; the desk times the dispatch to the arrival rather than the message, and a quick note from the room confirms it. Guests staying at hotels by the airport should write before anything else, because the drive out there is timed and priced case by case, and the travel time is stated plainly before confirmation. Guests on long stays in an aparthotel or serviced apartment follow the same steps but should mention the door arrangements, codes, intercoms or fobs, in the first message, since there is often no reception to fall back on. Nothing else changes: the same message, the same figures, and the same payment in the room.

Before you book a massage for a hotel stay: the short checklist

  • The night chosen, and kept reasonably clear.
  • The hotel's name, its lift and door arrangements, and your room type.
  • The house rule on visitors checked, and the occupancy too if you are booking the overnight.
  • The form, the length and, if you like, a therapist's name.
  • One message with building, hour, length and guests, the room number held back until she is close.
  • The room warm, the lights low, the card on the door and payment ready.

Nothing more is involved. Guests who have booked once rarely need the list again, because every step after the first message is the desk's job rather than theirs, and the figures on the tariff page stay the same whichever night you pick. Nobody under twenty-one works on the rota, and nobody under twenty-one may book.

Asked at the Desk

Short answers, before you write.

How early before the evening should I write to the desk?

There is no need to book far ahead. Most bookings are made on the evening itself, and confirmation takes about ten minutes. For a particular therapist on a particular night, writing a day or two earlier improves the chance that she is free.

Do I need to pay a deposit or share card details in advance?

No. Nothing is taken before the therapist arrives: no deposit, no card on file, no payment link. Payment is made in the room at the start of the session and nowhere else.

Can I arrange a booking from abroad before my trip?

Yes. Write with the dates, the hotel and a rough time, and the desk will note it. Confirm again on the day itself, since plans on a trip have a habit of shifting.

What happens if I need to cancel?

Write on the same thread as early as you can. Because nothing is paid until she arrives, a cancellation costs you nothing; an early message simply frees the therapist for another guest.

Can two of us take different forms in the same booking?

Yes. A couples session sends two therapists, and each guest may choose differently, one firm and conventional, the other slow and sensual. Say which guest wants what in the first message.

Does the hotel need to do anything?

Nothing beyond whatever its own house rules ask about visitors. The booking is made directly with the desk, payment goes directly to the therapist, and nothing is charged to the room.

When You Are Ready

The hotel, the hour, the form.
That is the whole message.

The desk answers around the clock. Every woman on the rota can be named in that first line, and the rates hold at any hour.
