How much does a massage at your Amsterdam hotel cost? It is the question guests ask most, usually second after whether a visit to the room is possible at all. The answer is simpler than many expect, because the rate does not depend on the hotel, the district, the hour or the day of the week. Two things decide it: how many therapists come, and whether one guest or a couple is booking. After that, only the length matters.
How much does a massage at your Amsterdam hotel cost for one guest
For a single guest with one therapist, everything starts from one hourly figure. Ninety minutes cost one and a half times that hour, two hours twice it and three hours three times it, and every hour beyond three adds the same hour again. The overnight, eight hours, is quoted as a single figure, and it comes out lower than eight hours counted one by one. There is no night surcharge, no travel fee for any central hotel and no difference between a five-star suite and a small canal-house room.
A single guest who books two therapists pays double every timed figure, from the first hour up to the third. The two-therapist overnight for a single guest has a block figure of its own, set higher than two one-therapist nights would be.
For a couple
A couple booking one therapist pays what a single guest with two therapists pays, length for length, and exactly twice the single guest's overnight. A couple booking two therapists pays double the couple-with-one figures at every timed length, and double the single guest's two-therapist night for the overnight. What the hotel adds, and what it does not
The hotel adds nothing to the fee, because the hotel is not part of the booking. No charge passes through reception. A few hotels charge their own supplement if a second person sleeps in the room overnight, which is worth checking before booking the eight-hour overnight, but that is between the guest and the hotel.

When each part is paid
Most bookings are paid in two parts. Half the fee is sent in advance as a deposit, by card, Revolut, Wise or crypto, once the house has accepted the booking. The other half is settled in the room when she arrives, in cash, by card or in crypto, with any cash sum in a currency other than euro confirmed in writing before she sets out.
The deposit applies to a first booking with the house, to any booking made more than twenty-four hours ahead, to every overnight, every two-therapist booking, every session of three hours or more, every Schiphol or airport-hotel booking and every peak date. For a first-time guest booking an hour tonight, that means half the hour's fee in advance and the matching half once she is in the room.
Only one kind of booking is paid entirely on arrival: a same-day session of one or two hours from a guest the house has looked after before. For that guest, an hour tonight is simply paid in full at the door.
If plans change
Cancel, and the notice you gave decides how much of the deposit the house keeps. A booking can be moved once, to a date within fourteen days, if the request arrives more than twenty-four hours before the booked time; the deposit then carries over. A second move, or a move requested inside the last twenty-four hours, is measured on the notice scale like a cancellation sent at that moment. A few worked examples
A business traveller on a first visit books ninety minutes for tonight in a Zuidas hotel: as a first booking it is split evenly, half sent in advance and half paid in the room. A returning guest books two hours this evening near the Dam: nothing goes ahead, and both hours are paid on arrival. A couple plans two hours with one therapist for next Saturday: the date is more than a day away, so half of the couple's fee becomes the deposit. A single guest books an overnight with two therapists: the pair's block figure is confirmed with half of it sent in advance.
Tipping is never expected. Every guest must be twenty-one or over, and the arithmetic above applies at every address the house covers in Amsterdam.
